Enhancements to the Universal child care benefit (UCCB)

Enhancements to the Universal child care benefit (UCCB)June 29, 2015 Enhancements have been made to the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) as a result of which families will now receive up to $1,920 ($1,200 for 2014 and previous years) per year for each child under 6 and up to $720 ($0 for 2014 and previous years) per year for each child aged 6 through 17.  Previously, families would receive UCCB for children up to the age of 6 only. The increase to the UCCB is retroactive to January 1, 2015, and will be reflected in monthly payments after July 2015.
