Canada United Small Business Relief Fund: $5,000 Grants for Businesses

On February 16th at 1 pm, the Canada United Small Business Relief Fund will open for a third round of applications. Through this fund, small businesses will be able to apply online to receive a grant of up to $5,000 as reimbursement for COVID-19 related expenses.

Eligible Activities & Costs

These expenses can include personal protective equipment, physical modifications to a business to meet local health and safety requirements, and enhancements to digital or e-commerce capabilities. Note that the grants are limited and approved on a first-come, first-serve basis, so any business looking to apply should be ready to do so at 1 pm on February 16th. Eligible Small to Medium Business Applicants

Small to medium-sized businesses, including for-profit and not-for-profit institutions, from all sectors and regions of Canada, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a company must:

  • Be incorporated or operating as a sole proprietor/partnership in Canada as of March 1, 2020
  • Have sales in 2019 between $150,000 and $3,000,000
  • Have a maximum of 75 employees
